Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between gel and dip powder?

The difference between a gel and dip powder is the type of nail it creates. Gel is used for the application of a gel manicure, while dip powder is used as an alternative way to apply acrylic nails.

During the application, the gel is layered on with a brush and then cured. Meanwhile, dipping powder is used after the activation liquid has been placed on the nail, it is then dipped in the powder before being left to cure.

Another difference is the process in which each product is cured. Gel needs to be cured under a UV LED lamp in order for it to bond with the nail. On the other hand, dip powders can be dried naturally by the air.
