Megan, aka @themanicurist, launched her mobile business in 2021. Four years on, she's fully trained in all RE:NEW brands, thanks to training incentives and loyal dedication. Her latest addition, tint., has been a game-changer—allowing her to fit up to four appointments in an hour. A testament to her savvy business thinking and embracing group bookings.

“I trained in tint. in November and over the last two months I’ve booked over 100 tint. tans”
Megan

Why do you like working with RE:NEW?

The team are always professional and friendly, I really feel a sense of personalised care.

What would be your best piece of advice to a fellow female entrepreneur?

Always be confident in your goals and true to yourself and your brand. Show interest in the competition but don’t let it steer you off course. Have faith in why you started your business and why you believe you are the best. Always be willing to learn and eager to grow.

Did you find your Building Beauty Business 1:1 with RE:NEW’s CEO helpful?

Yes, absolutely. I’ve found tangible ways to speed up my manicure time with the offer of additional training, alongside helpful tips & tricks to make sure I am making my product work for me rather than the other way round. I am so excited to get involved with more Press/Influencer events too – I thought this was a barrier since I’m not always based in certain locations but with enough notice I can now travel!

Vanessa and Emma are the beauty and brains behind Take Time London nestled in Wimbledon Village. They have been established since 2018, initially offering pockets of "me time" in corporate spaces, until they opened their salon retail doors on Church Road in June 2019 where they now employ over 7 members of staff.

“When working with RE:NEW, you feel like you’re working with friends and are part of the family”

Did you find your Building Beauty Business 1:1 with RE:NEW’s CEO helpful?

Yes, we’ve come away feeling confident to move forward with boutique branding ideas, ensuring our marketing is cohesive and streamlined. We’re also very excited to welcome tint. into our portfolio thanks to RE:NEW’s flexibility in bringing training to us.

What would be your best piece of advice to a fellow female entrepreneur?

Stay true to your beliefs and NEVER give up!

Maya’s journey started in 2022 as a nail technician where she was based in a London salon, full-time. With the launch of tint. tan in 2023 and utilising RE:NEW’s free training incentive, Maya started offering mobile spray tans as a side hustle and has since taken herself fully self-employed, primarily offering tans in and around London.

“I discovered my love for spray tanning after attending a free training day with tint. as part of RE:NEW’s Rewards Scheme. What started as a curiosity has now led to tint. becoming my most sought-after treatment”
Maya

Did you find your Building Beauty Business 1:1 with RE:NEW’s CEO helpful?

I can already see how effective RE:NEW’s ideas will be once implemented. I often find it challenging to create content for my socials during appointments, but RE:NEW helped me to realise my profile doesn't necessarily need to be a content creation platform and can instead serve as a portfolio, giving me a clear direction for the new content I’ll be developing going forward. I also feel the incentives we discussed are going to help me reach my goal of a 4-day working week.

“Working with RE:NEW has opened doors to incredible spaces and amazing opportunities I wouldn’t have accessed elsewhere”
Maya

What would be your best piece of advice to a fellow female entrepreneur?

My two biggest pieces of advice would be to invest in yourself and remember that your brand is more than just your services, it’s the experience you create. This applies not only to your clients but also to yourself - investing in your education and tools is never a wasted expense.
